Hey that's great! I have three little boys coming up soon and for right now when I take them hunting they take "practice guns" which are toys guns that they have to treat like real guns. They have to carry them correctly and safely. They are excited for when they can hunt! Kids can hunt upland here when they are ten and they want to bad.

I can't wait for my 2 boys to get old enough to carry a gun and shoot birds so I can run dogs and carry a camera in the field. They are only 3 1\2 and almost 2. It'll still be awhile but they want to go now.
