pink nose

I bought a GSP and she is going on 5 months. Her nose has a pink spot (since she was born) about the size of a dime cut in half on her nose. Does that conform to any standard or harm her in events?

Maybe a defect in the show ring. I am not sure of this, but it would not effect anything in field events.

my setters nose was light colored when he was young but it colored in as he got older. maybe that will be the case with your pup. good luck.

From the breed conformation standard:
AKC GSP Standard wrote:The nose is brown, the larger the better, and with nostrils well opened and broad. A spotted nose is not desirable. A flesh colored nose disqualifies.

The conformation standard does not disqualify the dog from other AKC events, including hunt tests and field trials.
