Yes, that is a very touching video.Yesterday a person posted on the Brittany forum that it was reported on MSNBC that Kenn Sakurai president of Butch Petfoods of Japan rescued them

The injured dog looks like a setter, right there at the end, but I'm not sure. Could anyone else tell?

Looks like a setter to me.
The best part of training is seeing the light come on in your little prot'eg'e.

It's been on the dog sites for a couple of days. They were rescued, the Britt went to a shelter and the setter required vet care. Both had identification. They were probably quite valuable because keeping one dog is a luxury in Japan and to have two hunting dogs is rare. Lucky that anyone got to them because the people who went in were breaking the law by being in the area.
