Dog box's

Post by Brittlver » Wed Mar 16, 2011 7:09 pm

I am going to be building a dog box for two dogs this spring for the back of my box. I just have a few questions before I start on the plans. How big would you go with the doors or is there any good companies that make universal ones? What is a good size to go for a Brittany? This will be made of 2X2's, 1/2 plywood and insulated with 2 inch thick insulation. Then it will be sealed and stained. Thanks for all the help.

Although I am not a fan of Owen's boxes, go to their site and look at the kits they have. Comes with two doors, two vents and the diamond plate channels.

I built a two dog box for the back of my truck before last bird season and if I remember correctly I think the doors are 12" by 16". I like it be its nothing fancy, but my wife is a big fan of it because now the passenger seat isn't covered in dog hair.
