Training Day

Post by gittrdonebritts » Sun Apr 24, 2011 8:00 pm

The first thread was getting crowded so......

Here is the Latest (hopefully final) update on the 30th we will be having 2 meeting times at Ezzy's place the first is 9 AM or after for all who are close and the second will be at 12 PM or after for whom ever is driving a great distance. I have decided the easiest thing to do is to ask that everyone bring enough meat(and buns) for themselves and possibly a dish to Pass and I can take care of Pop and Ezzy will run his grill, cause thats about all he is good for anyway   we can either do lunch or kind of an early dinner depending on how long we all want to stay or if Ezzy kicks us out or the cops get involved due to a noise ordinance  we will decide that when all have arrived, I think to training sessions for the day will be possible, if any are interested. Brittlver will be Bringing some shooter pigeons for $2 a piece and Ezzy has some homers we can use. if there is anything I have missed or any other Ideas give me a holler.

Long range forcast is for scattered showers. Bring some boots if it is muddy as the area here at the house is a big ravine in a corn field and could be messy. We have plenty of space though for getting in side out of the rain and also to eat. We will decide where we need to go that day depending on the weather. If you are wanting to use launchers bring them if you have them. Think we have the bases covered and be prepared for a good time.

I forgot I have 4 DT launchers and 2 remotes, so if need be we can make 2 sets of 2 launchers.

Mary, with the interstates running right to here it isn't that far for you in time. We are less than three hours from Cedar Rapids. Hook up with Denise.

Looks like I am going to be taggging along with Britlvr(AKA Jesse) from the madison Area. My French brit doesn't even come home till January, but what better time to watch a little hands on then now!

OH!

I will be bringing 4 packages of Osar Mayer BEEF bun length Hot dogs too... so plenty of dogs if someone wants some!!!

I just got an order for 40 pigeons to take home from one of the people coming. Do we even have that many pigeons coming? Anyone wanting to get rid of some pigeons at 2 dollars or there abouts should bring what they have.

I could try and get more from my source. I am picking up 40 on friday but could tell her to get as many as she can. So far Joe wants 15, Wems wants 10 so I will have 15 left over. I will let you know how many I can get before friday.

when I used to haul pigeons I would put a ton in my half ton truck, but I had to keep stopping and beating on the side of the box so at least half of them would be flying so I wasn't over weight.

For those of you that have a GPS my address is 555 Rock Island Rd Dixon IL 61021 If anyone needs directions I can give you those too if you ask. It is real easy to get to from the south or east and west. And from the north some of you will be coming down on 39 so you would be coming to Dixon on 88 from the east. I live about a mile off of 88. Just let me know and I can help.

I tried to convince her yesterday... :D

Brittlvr, if you end up getting more pigeons, I'd be more than glad to take more home. I just don't want to inconvenience you more, as I already appreciate the favor, and I want to be sure that everyone who wants to train that day--has enough.
