The surrogator

Does anyone have any experience with The Surrogator using quail or pheasants? Is the surrogator enough to reintroduce wild birds permanently (provided adequate cover, and proper management/hunting) or just enough birds to hunt for the up coming season? It is awfully pricey, but if it works as advertised maybe its work the money.

I have read a bit about this -- seems the lengthier articles in favor of it are always suspiciously almost marketing the thing, so it seems hard to trust what is being said. My conclusion was that it likely won't lead to long term populations any more than a multitude of cheaper rearing options, but it could boost short term huntables.
