Help I need a dog trailer. Car is too small

Post by RogueHK » Mon May 02, 2011 10:48 am

I have a hyundai accent and I need a single axle dog trailer for one dog. I came on here because I have had pointers before..

I currently own a Belgian police dog a malinois. He's a 5 month old puppy so I don't know if I will use the trailer right away as I don't want to scare him or ruin his drive.

Do you know of any single axle trailers for dogs?

I have a Honda CRV wagon with a large crate in it that I used for my retired patrol dog.I use it for my Setter now.
If that Malinois is from good breeding with good nerves, a ride in a trailer sure shouldn't bother it,and shouldn't have anything to do with it's drive.By a 4x6 trailer from Tractor supply and build a box for it.

how did you build that? Cost of box? Venting ? Getting too hot or cold issues?

Cost of the box-0(Made it from a wooden shipping crate.Ventilation- ajustable floor vents-6.00 from Lowe's.Only used it one Fall. You can insulate all you want and even add a fan(s).I padded the floor with 2" of foam rubber. With a single axle trailer it's not a smooth ride for the dogs.
