Friends in Piedmont lost everything. House is gone. Fortunately, neighbors wrangled the dogs, but the horses are still missing. No one was home. Texting is the best way to reach anyone in that part of the state. It's pretty bad, damage-wise, but only four confirmed fatalities.

Friends of ours that live south of Cashion had extensive damage to their home. I'm not sure where Andy is in relation to them, but I believe he is in the same area.

My sister in laws parents David and Mandy Pletcher lost their brand new home in Piedmont today. Good thing they are in Florida and not at home. There is a baby still missing in Piedmont. Prayers are needed.

I'll get in touch with Terry tomorrow. If anyone wants to do anything and needs an account set up, let me know and I can take care of it. Keep us updated, will you, please. That was an awful storm and I am so grateful there were so few lives lost. Hopefully, this part of the country will get a break after this round of storms.

You folks in the south and mid-west have been devastated for weeks now. Please know you all are in our families thoughts and prayers.

Since the past weeks, I have been giving to the red cross, is there a better more direct local agency to send donations to?

Won't be here much the next few days, thanks for your thoughts.

Gonna be a lot of work the next several weeks.

It was still about 11 miles southwest at this point, but it was obvious that it was headed right for my house, at this point Dez was already crated in the cellar and I headed there right after I took this, the edge of the picture you can see corner of my barn it was a big old barn and had been there for years.

Good gawd man! Unbelievable carnage. All over are local news they say you need to be prepared for emergencies after showing the footage of these tornados. I don't have any idea how you would prepare for something like this. Hang in there our prayers are with ya

Info on Facebook, for AL, We Are T-Town, for Joplin, Joplin Tornado Info. Haven't gotten one for OK yet, but American Red Cross and United Way are both on the ground and working on recovery. If you prefer faith-based, Convoys of Hope is in Joplin.

glad to hear ya'll made it through okay. i'm just about 45 miles away from joplin. we had a few scares but nothing stayed on the ground close to here. pretty devastating stuff all the fam is okay but looks like the sis might be out of a job as she worked at the hospital that was hit, at 8 months preggo its a heck of a time to be job hunting but if thats all the family lost i think we can deal with it.

Talked to Andy tonight, right now he's doing OK. Waiting on the insurance co. to take look before he starts cleanup. Staying with his GF in Edmond, got a loaner car, some donated clothes, and the only dog he had at home is now at his dads. As soon as the insurance adjuster gives him the go ahead he will start cleanup. Not sure when that will be, said he'd let me know.
