Avatar pics are so stressful - it's your trademark, your first impression, your "kachow!". So difficult to choose, I mean what are the rules??? What's the criteria? Other than, of course, not using a pic of your dog pointing a planter I think the options are pretty limitless!!

Introspective, quizzical option - who is this guy? where's he headed? where's he been? does he have anything meaningful to say or just telling me the obvious how to get to the other side of the river??:

I have been trying to tell you. :D  IMO, he has style and his tail carriage is fine! I actually like it better than the poker straight 12:00 tail. I have nothing against a 12:00 tail, but Chopper's just looks more natural to me. I am just happy to see that I am not alone. I think it has something to do with the era I grew up in.

Charlie
Couldn't agree morew about the tail carriage. That is a perfectly natural look that gives the dog balance.

Yer my hero Ted, that was a fine thing to do. I am not the only one that does that it seems. Last litter I gave a older guy, a vet, a pup, he is now in a wheel chair and that dog is his only companion. :) they take real good care of each other.

A dog can do wonders for a person, just petting one takes my stress away.

IMO, there are too many to pick that are really good. Besides, everyone is going to pick according to their breed preferences. So, I like them all. I especially like puppy Avavtars as they are so darn cute!

Its pretty tough to keep a pointing dog steady if another dog is going in and flushing them. I am sure that it can be done, but it has to be a lot of work.
