97% to 2% is more than decesive.

Never forget, when the thug policitians get your guns, freedom is gone. With 175 million gun owners in this country, hard to take over.

Fortunately not all the politicians are that way. I recently shot with The Govenor of Kanasas, State Rep of Kansas, & a Senator from our state, whom I went to school with. They are all Republicans.

Jess, you are right some are good and some make an attempt to look good. I knew the State Representative from our area long before he was a politician and he never hunted but now every year he shows up out here in the panhandle with a bunch of his politician buddies and campaign contributors and puts on a dog and pony show for them. He is such a poser. Makes me sick and he is the only Republican who has made me vote democrat. Of course the democrat I voted for was also a long time friend whose father was a State Rep. from here for many many years and did many good things for the community before he passed away. My buddy only ran on the democratic ticket because the other guy was the Republican incumbent.

Read what went on here in WI recently....

By the way, we just past some righ to carry laws.

I think this might have gone down a little differently if some folks were protecting themselves. I am not talking about actually shooting someone... but having someone wave a 9MM in your face might make you think twice about beating on them and laughing...

A word of advice from a Canadian here. Never, ever letup on the protection of your rights. Our country up here has just gone through too many years of Liberal rule and gun owners are now viewed as criminals by most law enforcement, not all but most. Hunting with a handgun is prohibited and just owning one is a tedious and draconian process. You are issued an annual transport permit that only entitles you to travel to your registered gunclub to target practice. Thats it. There is no open carry or conceiled carry unless you are law enforcement. My best buddy is an ex military police and now 25 yr senior Ident officer( your equivalent would forensic crime scene officers, detective level) and he had to take a lame handgun course taught by people who don't even hunt so he could own one personally. Treasure what you have an be prepared to fight for it.
I don't like people who don't like dogs......
