Well I finally popped the big question!

Yep I got engaged this past weekend to a girl that I have been dating for 1 1/2 years and living with for 6 months. So far everything has been going good, I get along with her 4 older brothers and dad (they all hunt and fish).

So life is good right now.

Congrats!!!! Your life will never be the same. I think that is the line I hear when someone gets their first pup. Guess it applies here just as well.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

RabbitBeagle,

I like your style. Get the dog first, then when that goes over well, pop the question. In all sincerity, congrats!

Congratulations!!!!

I just did the same thing last month with my girlfriend of 7 YEARS!!!

One word of warning....

It wasn't but a day or two after the proposal and I was caught in a whirlwind of activity. There were ideas coming out of the woodwork about where we were going to get married, who was coming, where the reception would be held, what color the dress would be...etc....etc....

I still don't think my feet have hit the ground!

But it will all be worth it in the end to spend your life with the one you love the most.

Again, congratulations, and the best of luck to the both of you.

Congrats, life is good when you start a family. Kids are great but take some time before jumping into that. I wish you both the best. Take her on a good honeymoon that you can both enjoy.

Your marriage is definately going to last . But for me we did not go on a honeymoon got furniture instead.

To tell you the truth it's been 5 years and nothing has changed for us anyway. He does his guy things and I hang out with the dog and their is space.

So many of my friends are all bitching, and I am thinking hmmm well your up each others butts to much LMAO.

Good Job :)

Congats to you!
One bit of advice that might help durring the next little bit. The wedding DAY is for her. If she asks "what you think" say "I like them both, what do you think?" Don't say I don't care! I have a friend that thought when his wife was asking for his opinion, that is what she wanted :bom: Too funny, almost never did get married. :boxing:
