Is there anyway to upload pictures from the iPhone 4s?
Re: Photo of the Day
A friend (goes by Munster on here) and I got together today for training. I got a couple nice pics of Brandi's first bird, and M. got me a very nice pic of her 2nd bird.
Re: Photo of the Day
wems2371 nice photos, great lookin' dogs! Question. What is the e-collar around the abdomen for? Reinforce steadiness on birds?

Re: Photo of the Day
Here are a few from training the last couple days.
Indy is my 11 month old Llewellin (nearly all white) and Ace is my 3 yo tri-color chestnut LS.
Of the pictures of Indy I think I like this one best.

The look in the spinone's eyes is kinda like "you gonna pick me up and love on me or what". Adorable pup.

Ya made me think. I have seen a Weim two time's field trialing. I saw several at at point dog test a local club put on years ago. I have never seen one in the hunting field!SetterNut wrote:Very nice to see a Weim hunting, I don't see many around here.

Good looking dog.
It's true that there are not a lot of Weim's used in the field, however we are working with some others to change that. Shade caught the tail end of the last hunting season when she was about 4 months old and got her mouth on her first grouse at that age that my other Weim Lincoln was retrieving. There are typically between 5-10 Weims out with the small group we hunt with .DonF wrote:Ya made me think. I have seen a Weim two time's field trialing. Re: Photo of the Day
I really enjoy getting to see everyone else's dogs in action. Its interesting to see the different pointing styles, and the country you hunt and train in.
I took Indy out today after my wife and I played golf. It has been crazy hot and humid around here the last several day.
My wife decided to come and take a few pictures. Indy is her baby, and can do no wrong in her eyes (at least most of the time)
I have been letting Indy drag the cc, as he stands his birds very well, but needs to be stopped from chasing. He took off into the training field and pointed the first pigeon.
I really like this pic of Indy she took. He is pretty intense on his points.
Well, I asked my wife to walk down to where the launcher was and act like she is flushing, because Indy is pointing way off of pigeons. By way off I am talking 30 + yards. I need to be able to work the CC on the flush so having my wife there was a big help.
She went in and flushed, I put Indy back when he move on the flush, and was ready to release him for the next bird. Before I released Indy I told my wife to be careful not to let Indy run between you and the tree-line / cover dragging the CC. Well .... Indy took off toward the launcher went between her and the cover and then took off like a shot down the tree-line. She tried to jump over the CC, but he was really moving fast. Indy took her feet out from under her, and gave her a really nice rope burn on her foot when her shoe came off. She hit the ground pretty hard.
The first thing she said was "Man is he fast", then she told me she wasn't happy with me or Indy
We found her shoe and looked at the rope burn that was now bleeding a little, then looked down the field to see what Indy was doing. I am glad I can trust him to stand his birds for a while as I was not paying attension to him during the rope burn episode.
A closer look
My wife cleared out before I released him this time

Did a little backing work today.
But Indy was a little too fast for Ace on the first two birds, even with dragging the CC
