Pretty new to posting here, although I have enjoyed browsing this site for a while now, anyway, I came across some old pics at my Dad's house the other day and thought I would share, I've always enjoyed looking at old hunting pics and thought maybe some others would share theirs as well.

Nice photos! I see a couple of model 12s in the second photo. Classic guns.

I noticed the Model 12's as well. Hope those are still in the family.....

I don't know about the model 12s, if they are my uncle has them. I believe the gun in the top pic that my Grandpa is holding (left) is his Ithaca 37, I know that gun is still with us.

This is a picture of my father and a friend returning from a hunt on South Bay.

1939 , just before going overseas for WW2, where he served for 6 years.

Cool picture Sharon, I can't really tell from the pic, what kind of dog is that? It's huge!

Chesepeake Bay Retriever - After Dad left , the dog went out to the long lane every morning to wait for him.He was eventually found dead at the end of the laneway - Brownie.

Obviously haven't touched this one in a while, but I did just dig this picture out the other day when I was at my Dad's. This is him in the old family blind in the swamp they use to hunt, Dec 1974.

I know 12 years ago isn't considered "old", but it sure seems like a lifetime ago... most of the pics posted are of Grandads and Dads & I think that's great, but the one of my son when he was little always brings a smile to my face!..
He's 6'2" now and has turned into a fine outdoors man...

Nice pic man, my nephew is just a few years away from being ready to go out, my brother and I can't wait til the first day we get to take him out with us. The best way to keep this thing that we love going, is to teach the younger generation the right way, cool to see you passed that on with your family.

I've posted this photo before. It's not real old , about 15 years or so. This is a photo of a photo so the quality is poor. My parents had this photo and two other originals enlarged and framed for me. This last Chrismas they gave me the three photos. The three photos are sentimental, we were all a bit choked up. The photos mean soooo much to me. I have wonderful parents. My dad always took the time to introduce me to the great outdoors and taught me that hunting/fishing is not always about the bag limit. I have so many wonderful memories. I'm blessed to have such a great family.

This was in Iowa, we used to make a trip down to hunt every year, been a while now. Even with the birds being down were hoping to start making the annual trip again.
