General question, how long do you hunt your dogs before a break. 2 hours, 3 hours?? Hunting grouse in pretty thic cover.

Depends a lot on how much conditioning the dog has had, and temperature. If it is hot, try to hunt near creeks and lakes. I usually hunt for 2 hours, take a break, hunt 2 more.

He is in good condition, hunting in 50-60 temps.

My dogs can go way more than me. I ask them if I can take a break.

If the conditioning and temp,, are good i hunt all day, so on average that"s 8-9 hours with one break to grab a snack .
