Vibrating collar reccomendation

Post by pointshootretrieve » Sun Oct 16, 2011 2:05 pm

My old DD has lost most of her hearing and one eye but she hunts like a dog half her age, problem is she loses track of me very easily and goes into a search. Sometimes she will cut my track and follow it back to me but this can take some time and wastes energy. I would like to get a collar that vibrates when I press the button, this way I can train her to stop to a single vibration and come on two. Who makes a good one? Anybody with experience, details, etc?

That's exactly what I do with my 13 year old.

This one doesn't have a buzz feature but you can use a low level /mild correction. It is the cheapest... Sport Junior/ Tritronics

The one I use with a buzzer is the Sport Basic G3 / Tritronics - more expensive.

Check them out on the link:

Sportdogs new lines have the vibration and tone features along with stimulation. The SD-1225, 1825 and new Houndhunter 2525 all have it.

If you have any questions forthcoming, you can always PM me. I'd be glad to help you.

I have a DT systems, micro idt. I've had plenty of luck with it. It has both vibration and electronic stimulation.
