Back from MT

Post by jarbo03 » Mon Oct 31, 2011 10:34 am

Got back from a week in Montana on Friday night, what an amazing trip, Taz far exceeded my expectations for a 10 month old pup. He pointed and retrieved many sharptails, pointed and tracked running huns and pheasants along with his first duck retrieves, two of them being 40 yard blind retrieves without a hitch. Also shot my first antelope on this trip.

Have some more pics I need to get downloaded, unfortunately lost my SD card from most of the waterfowl hunting, do have a couple from my phone though.

Looks like it was a successful hunt. Just got back from western Montana myself. Philipsburg area. Didn't do any bird hunting, was there for elk/mulies, but saw my first blue grouse. Man, them things are huge.

Very nice, I worked last summer in MT stayed in Billings and worked over around Columbus and Red Lodge, and then up to around Round UP. Great country would love to be able to go back and hunt it.
