Today's outing - Pics

I had the day off school (end of term, teacher prep day) and was able to meet up with DGFavor this morning to take the dogs for a run. Got into quite a few birds and had a blast. First up we had Scoots and Luna (my 6 month old pup) down...that was a pretty fun go round, tons of birdwork. Secondly, Trixie and Emma hit the ground, they tore up the country but no birdwork. Pretty sweet way to spend the morning!

This picture is probably my favorite, Luna slammed this point and held until a huge covey of Sharpies busted out in front of her

Wow, was feeling pretty good about my dogs, had a few nice placements this year, been having some nice hunts...nothing like taking a bird dog shelacking from a 6 month old pup handled by a kid playing hookie from school to let you know you're not "all that!"
Pretty darn fun watching a young dog just hammering points and slamming backs purely because her genes tell her to!
Great shots! Yah, fun morning for sure! Glad to see such a nice bunch of sharpies perservering on the last day of the season!

I'm taking my 1 yr. old GSP out on Phez today with a buddy who has a Vizsla the same age. Hopefully they'll do well together. Oh, and GREAT pictures!
