beeper question

Post by Croix » Mon Nov 07, 2011 7:18 pm

When I hit the locate button on my year old setters collar , he will check back with Me. Not all the way back to Me, but just check in. Is/will this become a problem when I switch the collar over to point mode, where it beeps when he's on point.

Any comments suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks in advance.

May take a little to get used to it. HHave you tried leaving it on the run mode so it beeps every 5 or 10 seconds. You might not want to listen to it all the time but maybe you could do it till the dog gets used to it.

My dogs check in with me when I hit the locate button on my 2002 T&B. I want them to, and trained them to, but they are trained to come in on multiple rapid beeps, not a single beep or slow beeping. But when they are on point, they know they don't leave a bird
