Just would like know what your dogs name is, possibly get a idea for a new female pup. As of right now i have a Dixie(GSP), and a Kody(yellow lab)

Had a female dog named Winnie

My girls are Molly,Jett and Elli Mae.

My dog's name is Gertie. The root is Gertude which is Germanic meaning spear or strenth. Thought it was appropriate for a female pointing dog

Girl names I have used include CoCo, Sorrell, Jill, Clover, Sylvie, Beanie, Shine and Sherry.

My female now is Kona. I will be breeding her in the future back to a son of Pike's creek Mike. I plan on the name being Echo. Always thought of naming a pup echo. Just thought it was cool.

Male is Lincoln (Alexander is his middle name ), and our female is Shade. Some other female names we had in mind were Jetta, Addison or Adelaide (Addy) & Rogue.

Our females are Ringo, Sara and Jackie.

We have a white English Pointer my daughter named "Fiona"... She had just returned from a trip to Ireland and it means "white" in Galic... When she was about 5 we got a Black Lab... She named him "Ruff"... "so he can say his name Daddy!" Ironicly, he was a good grouse dog... never barked much tho... She also had a cat named "Mr Lucy"... due to a little confusion in the first month or so... :roll:

I also had a Sheep Dog named "Lou", a Beagle named "Snoopy" and a Black Lab named "Anna Belle"... But "Ruff" will always be my favorite.

Yes Havy, We have been around a dog or two and when you have a 10-12 dog personal string at all times....I guess they kind of add up over thirty years or so...it actually caught me a little shocked too when I started listing.....just solidified to me the fact that I must be old .

Lab/GWP cross named Luci, I usually call her Lucifer, as it often fits.

My female English Setter is named Ellie. She was almost Hazel but it just didn't suit her. I still like the name Haze.

My family has had females named Brandy (Brittany), Kate (ES) and Jewel (an ES I named for one of the 101 Dalmatians when I was young).

I had trouble choosing a good female name as well. If I had gotten a male he probably would have been called Remus.

If I ever have a dog with a patch on one eye... I'll name him (if it's a male) "Pete.. or Petie" after the dog on the "Little Rascals"... always loved that dog... In the old black and white original shows...

Dog now is D.W. Dexter, DW was my late dads initials ( the man that started the bird hunting bug in me) and Dexter after my sons favorite cartoon as a kid! Maybe a bit strange but it works for us!

Past dogs: Queen, Blaze, Gus, Maverick, Bo, Lady, Shania and several EPs in my youth that for some reason their name excapes me!

Non hunting dogs: Deaken, Fritz, Boomber, Jack, Molly, Bear, Gypsy, Ginger, Zadie, Heidi
