MICHIGAN QUESTION

Post by Hookadooka BirdDogs » Sun Dec 18, 2011 9:07 am

On aerial maps of some areas, say Oscoda county, the are diamond shaped or rectangular cuts in fields. What are these?

Thanks in advance.

Kirkland warbler habitat. All jack pines now, a total waste of great land if you ask me. They planted those a while back, some never grew, so you have hundreds of acres of barren land.

Thanks for the replies. At least they planted trees. In Ohio they would have planted grass. Sadly.
