Our club has a copy of Don Bonnice's Field Event Software.

It's quirky, but it beats filling out the AKC "blue" papers by hand.

Our club geekident has something she really likes and it works well. Haven't a clue what it is since I am only trusted to deal with things that poop, but if you will PM me contact info, I'll get y'all together.

Must be Don.

Anyway, you know I use your software. It may be quirky to be, because perhaps I'm not doing something right. For instance. When I "build" a stake and select the judges for that stake, those judges names don't appear in the printed catalog. No big deal for me, I just use a pdf text clean-up tool and insert the names, but why don't they? And for me, the biggest hassle is having to enter the handlers name/address over and over. Owners names, not so much, as not many dogs entered are owned by the same person...but the pros run a bunch of dogs, and after a while I have the pros address memorized.

That said, I use it, am happy to use it, and will continue to use it.

So Don? The avatar dog? Your Ridge puppy?

Dan,

When you build your stake, be sure the judge name is highlighted by clicking on it. I made the selection window small and it looks like just having the name in the box selects it. Click it and turn it blue and you are good. You can tell from the stake window if you have it selected.

Next release will have a handler and owner lookup. It is a common request.

Yes that is my Ridge pup. His name is Trinity's Sudden Impact "Callahan". He won a 2 point Open Derby stake last weekend.

Thanks for using my software .

Those of us who belong to both the NF & CF GSP Clubs are using Don's software & loving it. Personally, I've been working with it for about 2 years doing HTs for the two clubs & can't imagine doing this all by hand.

We are also swapping the db between the people doing the HTs & FTs so that we can ensure that the db is up to date for the clubs.

It's a great program & I heartily endorse it.

Does anyone know of any software for automated drawing for NSTRA trials? I see there is one on the NSTRA site but I have not tried to get access to it, does anyone know if it works well?

Coming soon! The software will fill out the AF Essential Data Form and/or the ABC Field Trial Report!

These options are only available if you print at then event. AF and ABC do not want the whole catalog. Only the placements. AKC is fine with the whole catalog marked.

Expected release by May 1, 2012
