I need to get some nesting bowls and leg bands, was wondering if anyone had any recommended websites that they use to get their supplies, also, I've seen 3 different types of nesting bowls; clay, wood pulp disposable, and plastic, which is best in your opinion?

Thanks

Any nest bowl will work. The paper throw away one just cut down on your cleaning chores. There are many good places to buy but I like Foy's as well as any. They usually have a good supply as well as decent prices.

I've gotten some things from the various gun dog supply places, but Foy's has a huge selection of stuff. Even if you don't buy from Foy's, you might go to look and see what's available for ideas.

Might check your local feed store. Most will carry nesting bowls.
Leg bands, I've only seen at a couple. Those you will probably haft to order online, unless your local pigeon source may have some that you can buy from him.

I got bands from Seigels, think that's how it's spelled. Shipping is awful high. I got bands with my name and phone number on them so when some kid kills them, he can call and thank me. Ok, it was an ego thing. For a long time and still with my ferals I used either split ring chicken bands and more recently wire ties. Wire ties come in different colors to help tell males from females apart. If you get the wrong band on, just snip it off and put another on. If your gonna race you'll need those other bands, just for pigeons. But, now that my ego is back on the shelf, wire ties are great!
