I have never spoke to him or anything. But I did send an e-mail a week or more ago
and have had no response.

Don't know anything else.

There was a trial here where I live last weekend and I believe he may have been here judging it. I did not get a chance to attend because I was working but I believe he was one of the judges.

Tommy is correct. Charlie judged all three days at the trial in Optima, OK. My guess is his cell service was poor...I know mine was when I was there.

Unless you have a local provider the cell service is very poor especially between Hardesty, where Optima is located, up to about Ft. Supply or Woodward. Cell service is poor sometimes even if you do have local service.

I know there is another trial out there this weekend but I am not sure if Charlie is judging it or not.

He isn't listed on the premium.
Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.

I spoke to Dan Hoke from Dun Fur Kennels and he said Wildrose dogs are good, since we have some dogs from cadens line in SA.

I checked his dogs and pedigrees and was happy, also I think Texas is a hard country for dogs thorns etc. Africa has also got some tuff terrain and dogs need to be tuff.

The total sum was exspensive but worth it, altough we had some minor problems. We are wanting to get more dogs from Charles if I can get hold of him.

No problem !

There are so many breeders and it is not easy, so many pro trainers that makes choosing dogs to breed with even more difficult.

I heard from Ryan Quessenberry, Dunfur's Where You Ben's owner that he sold some of Ben's semen straws to someone in S. Africa a few years ago.

There are a lot of nice GSPs here in the US. The winningest, still alive male, field trial GSP in the US, now retired, is Willows On the Spot, the two time National Champion & Dog of the Year. "Spot" is owned by John Lunseth, known as "Wagonmaster" on this site. Spot became sterile after injury. John will tell you Spot's litter-mate, "Harley" would've given Spot a run for his money. Harley was never run in a field trial so one will never know how truly great he would have been. Harley is owned by John's brother. These are tough dogs with a great deal of stamina. If you're interested PM me & I will tell you how to reach Harley's owner.
