Need a name for my pup

Hey Everyone,

I am picking up my GSP pup in a few weeks and wanted some thoughts of a name for him. Any thoughts for a good hunting dog name?

Maverick, tonka, trigger, ruger, remington, gunner, ranger, gus, gauge, bullet, rebel, wyatt, just to name a few. I need the same help but for a girls name.

I can tell you the ones that are so overused they could possibly confuse the dog in a group of three or more. Max, Jaeger, Ruger, Remington (or Remmie), Duke, Hunter. However, I think everyone who has more than a few dogs ends up with at least one of those. I've had two Dukes, one I named and one who came with it.

Our next pup will probably be named 'Putter', we both love golf so the name seems fitting.

I like non-typical hunting dog names but thats just me.

I have a Daisy, Raven, Kady, and Guage, used to have Sassy(retirered) and Sammy R.I.P..My boss has some named Two Sox, Norby, Bear,Hammer,Zorro,Stubby,Apache, just to name a few.Thinking of if I keep another from my litter coming up, calling her Tekya, like the Berreta shot gun I love. What about Jock,Bubba,Nikon.

My first GSP's name was Jax & the way it came about was I was getting the pup like you & had no name. While driving home from work one day a big truck pulled out in front of me. A prettzle delivery truck & in big bold letters said
"Rolled Gold" & beneath it said "JAX" . A lot of folks would comment on his name & said if they had a dog they would like to name him Jax. I would love to know there was another GSP named Jax out there !
