Mine don't, but I'm friends with my friend's Sheltie. He plays my games. :)

FB is a huge social network, personal it is great this way one can share view other photo's etc. I rather did a blog page it serves as a album I can open anywere and share with everyone. It's free and holds many pic's so easy when visiting friends and they ask so do you have any photo's of your dogs. www.gsp-bullet.blogspot.com

I have one and it is great to see dogs and meet people from all over the world. The best thing about it is seeing the differences in the same breed from breed from place to place.

I must admit that I am deeply addicted to Facebook, but I never thought to make my dogs a profile. People around here do it all the time for their show horses, but I'm not sure I've seen a dog... I'll have to go check out what Kimber has to say :)

Kimber has a nice FB! :D

CEB - US and 2012 AKC Pointing Breed Gun Dog Championship have FB groups, kinda fun to follow.

If I owned a kennel, gun dog supply site/store, was a trainer etc....I would definitely have a FB for my business, free/effective advertising.

14 Months ago I started a blog on our training and hunting adventures with our GSP. Eventhough it shows pictures of all hunting breeds on it from time to time.
http://gsphuntingdog.blogspot.com/
(It of course has a link to GDF on it! :D )

7 months in I added a facebook page to go along with the blog titled: Adventures of a German Shorthaired Pointer
https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Adven ... 5295255963

The facebook page is awesome because I can add things to it that don't make the blog and its much more interactive with followers.

Another great GSP facebook page I follow is: Mr. B
https://www.facebook.com/#!/MrBizzer

And this is a good Vizsla Page
https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/A-Viz ... 8943557534
Follow our adventures at: http://gsphuntingdog.blogspot.com/

Cash had a facebook page for awhile, but the nice folks that run the site apparently caught on. His page was sadly deleted. They haven't caught on to our other dog's page yet, though.

If you want to have a page for an animal without violating the profile rules on FB, simply make it a fan page for a public figure. Your dog won't be able to feed your chickens, though. :)

I usually don't care what other people are doing, so facebook is useless to me.

No separate page, but I pretty much only put up dog stuff on my personal page anyway. :)

Most of the Facebook thing eludes me. I guess I am of a generation, I am 57, that just does not care
what someone had for lunch, or how their day was going. I have enough on my plate to keep me busy.

The younger crowd is all different. Seemingly intelligent people take pictures of their lunch and post it on FB.
I could carte less. It sort of bothers me that adults post stuff like this. Do they have nothing better to do with their time?
I am pretty sure there is no one in this world, including my wonderful wife of 36 years, who gives a hoot if my Subway was good today! Really!

I can see where it can be useful. We had a dear friend pass away last summer. His son put it up on FB and in no time
the widow and the whole family were getting things posted on FB, and many calls. It spread very quickly, as it should.
OK, stuff like this, and baby announcements, anniversaries, etc. Con-grates to graduates, yeah there could be quite a list.

But come on, a picture of your lunch and a brief statement of how good it was! Who gives a ---t!

Ok, down off the soap box. It bugs me.

Mike
