I know the tornado that hit Wichita went very close to him, just hoping he and his are okay.

I was wondering the same. Tommyboy put in a call but has not heard from him yet. Hope he is alright. Scary storms. Had family near Woodward but all seemed to have made it.

Tornado passed to south and east of town, believe he is located west of Wichita. Hope all is ok.

Just talked to tommyboy. He got a hold of Jess this afternoon. I believe he was out shooting skeet. Tommy didn't talk to him long but I would guess he made it through ok. Hope everyone else on this forum that live in and around the hardest hit areas are alright.

Jess is about an 45min- an hour away from where the tornado hit. I am guessing they just had rain and some small hail.

Hey guys! Glad there's a couple out of the hundreds of GDF members who were worried about us!

We actually had to take cover for about 30 mins. We had a rope tornado 2 miles north of town. My buddy was out spotting for the fire department and I was looking over my family and his. It was kinda crazy for a little bit... When the storm came through, It rained and blew and hailed nickel sized hail pretty hard. Luckilly my new pickup was in Wichita for a pre-Prom date and the storms were not anywhere near there at that point. Saved it from getting hailed on.

The rain, wind and hail lasted about 10-15 mins and then it got errie still and it was a weird orangish color outside. I know from previous experience what that precludes to... I told my wife to get our daughter and herself ready to go down. It was probably 10 mins and the sirens were going off.

We're safe and sound though! :D

I wasn't worried. I saw how big you are, tornados or hurricanes would have a hard time putting a dent in you! :D

Jess, I didn't realize you guys had one that close. I was in Tennessee when they hit and all the weather channel was talking about was the 1 that hit the farm in Conway Springs and went south of the airport to Oaklawn.

Glad you guys are alright.
