NSTRA and UKC
It is official. UKC will be recording NSTRA titles on UKC dogs' pedigrees. Will be interesting to see how this affects dog games. HRC is monster popular in some areas.

Re: NSTRA and UKC
I spoke with UKC today and was told that dogs do not have to be registered with their organization to earn a NSTRA title, but registering with UKC will provide a pedigree with recorded championships. I'm glad to see this happen.

Interesting, thank you for posting!
Silly NSTRA question... do the judges ride or walk?

Judges and birdplanters used fourwheelers in the NSTRA trials they used to have here.

Re: NSTRA and UKC
This is great news. They have been doing the same for the UFTA for awhile now. I think this will be good for birddogs as a whole. I was talking to Todd Kellam at the UFTA Nationals and I think the UKC is really excited about getting involved with more bird dog groups.

Re: NSTRA and UKC
Does UKC print any other organization's titles on their pedigrees? AKC, AF, etc?

Re: NSTRA and UKC
UKC also has a partnership with UFTA but that's it. UKC does not print other organization's titles on their pedigrees.

Re: NSTRA and UKC
I think that just about anyone that was "at odds" with the competition could make a financial arrangement with UKC and get stuff printed on their pedigrees.

Re: NSTRA and UKC
I don't believe that is the case. UKC is a legitimate, longstanding registry that has run successful hunting dog programs for decades. This partnership will finally bring a broadbased pointing dog program on board for UKC.slistoe wrote:I think that just about anyone that was "at odds" with the competition could make a financial arrangement with UKC and get stuff printed on their pedigrees.
