It is actually a place sponsored by the Utah Division of Wildlife. It is a large shooting range only a 5 minute drive from where I work. I had heard that they had some bird dog training grounds, so I stopped in to see what it was all about. Apparantly it is 950 acres of varied landscape including hills and ponds. You pay them $5.00 (yes five bucks) a year for the use of the grounds. They give you a key and you have access to it from dusk till dawn. You can bring your own birds to plant and shoot. You just need to band them with something as simple as a zip tie, and you must have a bill of sale to prove that you purchased the birds. You also have to use steel shot.
I think I will join up and try it out. It will definately be $5.00 well spent.
Just found some fantastic training grounds.
