Buy the best most powerful one you can afford, it's always better to have the power and range and not need it, than need it and not have it. I think you cant go wrong with a dogtra or tri-tronics.

Im gonna tell you first to buy Tritronics, but dogtra is very good too. Been running tritronics for the last 9 years of being a professional guide, they stand by their products and customer service is A number one! IMO

I am a fan of Tritronics. I have a Flyway Special that I have had for umpteen years. VERY reliable. I sent it in for a battery replacement after having it for about 5 or 6 years. I sent it in for another batter replacement after another seven or eight years and for the price of a battery replacement they upgraded the unit to the EXP model. That was about eight or nine years ago. Still going strong. The sucker will probably outlast me.

I would suggest you look at the Field 90. It has all the features you will need for training or correction.

Dogtra 2500 B/T It is not cheap but has a hand operated beeper + e collar. I can't say enough good things about it.

From pesonal experience, I would suggest TT, but from what I have heard, Dogtra is also very good. I have not had very good luck with DT and Sport dog, so that is all I can go on.
