When It comes to GSPs I prefer a 40% tail, IMO if I want one with a longer tail I will by a EP.I like the boxy head too, but not reall picky there. I lean to lots of white or solid colors for me I think I can see them better while hunting. IMO

Not gonna lie. I feel best when I know my dog looks good.

Most of us are pretty fickle, myself included. Does your birddog care what you look like or does it care more about what's inside of you and how you treat them?

Amen.
Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.

I agree, glad we have all these different choices. That is a good looking setter, but definitely not my style. Looks are important in a dog, as long as they can hunt everything in any condition, dove to geese, ice water to 90*. Here is my idea of a looker!!

Very nice, may have to get one some day.
I like the longer tails so you can see it sticking up up to of the tall grass when on point. :D

I hunt not far from your area, would love to meet up for a day of chasing birds. Been many years since I have hunted with a good long tailed dog.

Jarbo, that would be fun. All we need is the season to get here.
Sept 15 - early PC season can't get here soon enough.

Still got some work to do with Indy, but he is coming along. Tonight was the first time that he didn't take steps after the flush. His desire to chase after the flush is starting to get under control :D

That would be great, I normally hunt early PC alone. Still have a lot of work to do with Taz also, need to get him steadied to flush before his UT test this fall.
