I have desided to keep a solid black female GSP from the litter we just had. Her mothers name is Raven, I am just drawing a blank when it comes to a name for her.I have come up with one "Big Boyz Camoflauge Dream" and call her "Cami". Any help to get my mind thinking on names would help Thanks. FYI there is another solid black female still forsale and pending on the solid liver female too.

I have a girl named "Amsel." It means 'black bird' in German.

Yes Big Boyz is my kennel name. I like the Amsel alot! ethnic, I had been thinking about Panzer, it was a German Nazi tank in WWII

I think you'll be getting some weird looks from people when they find out you named your dog after a Nazi tank. Unless the full name is something like Big Boyz Panzer Destroyer or something like that, it's going to be a little weird.

I see waht your saying but not to many people would actually know what a Panzer is, and probably wouldnt have anything about Nazi in there!

How ironic. My Amsel's sire (a German import) is named Panzer.

I tend to agree with the sentiment that not so many folks would know what the term "Panzer" means. That saddens and scares me because those same folks obviously have no real sense of history.

But I digress.

As far as names...how about onyx or ebony... like ebony cowboy. Or maybe coal miner. There was a fairly well known pointer named Black Crude. Just thought of a VERY famous Tennessee Walker...Midnight Sun. You could do Midnight Son for a male.

Everyone has their own way of naming pups, I have always been a fan of Roman / Greek style of names. If my pick (which is tomorrow!!!) from the litter is a boy I am going to go with Ethos which is Greek for character. I have not put a lot of thought into a females name... Might have to do that lol.

How about Big Boyz Giggle with Gilda call name Gilda. It's the charity named abfter Gilda Radner. If she has the personality for it.

Thanks for the help, still might need a little more with the rest of her registered name, but I am going to call her "Tikka", I love Beretta shotguns, and their rifles too, so I went with that.But thinking of still throwing in some of the other suggestions from the names though.
