Saturday Chuks-Before Work Chuks

Post by Elkhunter » Sat Aug 25, 2012 8:36 pm

Hit the hills with a buddy to see what the season could be like, prognosis is very very good! We moved 6 or so coveys in 2.5 hours and had some good dog work.

Looks like a fun day out with the dogs.
The hills are a little bigger there than we have here :D

You Chukar guys are crazy. All that uphill climbing, jeeze! I'm headed out to Oregon in January to chase them with a friend. I told him to either give the hospital our coordinates or throw a bottle of oxygen in his pickup or something.

I wish we had land other than flat, or something like slightly below flat lol. Illinois, home of the corn and bean fields (at least where I am).

These pictures are deceiving... I heard he follows the dogs on a dirt bike. Just doesn't have it in the picture lol. Looks like some fun right there.

A friend of mine wanted to get out before work so we hit the hills for a quick hike... The stub tails got some playing time today.
First find, this one is a little blurry, she was a ways away and it was not real light yet.

Found her standing here, could not produce a bird so had her relocate to

Saw a bunch of birds, and they were cooperating today!

Not too steep! Some pretty country for sure.
