DC AFC CHOCOLATE MOUSSE'S FEATHER MH

It is with a very sad hart that I inform you that Feather was euthanized this evening 8/31/2012. Last night she was extremely distressed with a distended abdomen. She was not panting or vomiting. However, she was in discomfort and you could see her abdomen contracting and she was gaseous. She had eaten her dinner with vigor but was latter found laying down on the outside porch with extremely distended abdomen (she looked pregnant and about to whelp). After coming inside on her own power she immediately laid down again. By morning she greeted me at the door and went out side with the other dogs like normal. She still had a distended abdomen but not as bad as last night. Went to Vet today where they took an X ray and Ultrasound. Results not good. She had a large growth on her spleen and there was blood in the abdomen cavity...........
She had become one of my best hunting dogs. I will miss her.

Ken,
I'm very sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful dog and I'm sure a faithful companion in both the field and in your home.
Keep your memories of her close to your heart- because if you can remember her, she's never really gone.
