Vizsla pup -- first training
Pix from this morning, a friend's vizsla pup, first time on launchers. She likes birds a lot. Definitely will be dynamite.

Looks good. The tail looks shorter than most of the vizslas I've seen.

I agree, she is a smart looking bitch, but the tail is too short, wont stop her being a top worker though.
The mother of the Wire Viz pup i have just got has a very short tail, just spoils the style of them a little.
How old is the pup?
How is shew doing with her training?

Re: Vizsla pup -- first training
The pup is about 6 1/2 months old. That was her first field work. The owner has been doing yard work up until this point. We brought her out with a dozen birds and launchers. By about the 6th bird, she had it figured out. At the end, she was holding points for a very long time -- we were popping those final birds if she moved even her eyeballs. I'm hoping he does a lot more launcher drills with her before she gets in a situation where she could catch a bird or two.
