Walkdog problems

Post by dreamerofdreams » Wed Oct 10, 2012 5:31 pm

So a while ago I bought a walkydog for the bike. I slowly conditioned pup to it without much trouble. Then tonight, out of the blue, she stops in her tracks, I brake as soon as I can. She refuses to go anywhere. Flat out refuses. After a while of trying to get her to go, I unclip her from the bike and clip her regular leash on. Still won't go, the bike's too close. I finally manage to get both her and the bike home. I don't know what brought this on. Tomorrow I'll try bringing some treats out, back to ground zero, but is there anything else I could do? This walkydog is a lifesaver with my husband gone and a full time job!

My though too.
I pity the man that has never been loved by a dog!

Yup. You dealing with a teenager that's testing you. Persistence and constant reinforcement and it'll pass in a couple months. Get ready to get frustrated :D

How should I be persistent on this issue? I can't just drag her behind the bike... I've tried a little pulling to get her to run but she plants so hard her harness practically comes off her head even though it's snugged down tight.
