Happy B-Day

Post by Georgia Boy » Tue Oct 16, 2012 5:48 pm

Happy B-Day Dachs v.d. Ritterburg, 5 years old today and by far the best all around, truely versatile hunting dog I have ever had the pleasure to hunt with. It doesnt matter if its dove, upland, waterfowl, rabbits, squirrels, coon, fox, coyote, deer or boar, he has done it all. I laugh when people ask if he is a bird dog. I tell them he is a whole lot more than just a bird dog or something to retrieve a few ducks each year.

5 years old, man, he's in his prime. You are a lucky man, GB.

Thanks guys, I am very proud of him and all his accomplishments. He seems to be passing it on to his pups also.

There is a litter on the ground from him now but are all spoken for. I also had a call today from a guy wanting to breed with him this spring. I may use him myself next year, just depends how things go with some of my other dogs.
