You have to go back past what's there to understand your pedigree. Lots of PJ Wildfire that you can't see, along with Brown L, which are basically the foundation stock. Rawhide's Clown doesn't make up nearly as much of your genetics as do those two.

I would call it an unproven (few titles) pedigree with a really nice foundation. P J Wildfire breeding is still sought after and maintained by his owner. I have found it to produce some of the best temperaments. Rawhide's Clown is actually the least desireable of the bloodlines you have there unless you are seeking big running, edgy dogs with attachment issues. :)

No the pedigree doesn't look good - there is a lot of unproven dogs. The dogs that are proven are too far back to be of much influence. However, the dogs that are upclose and unproven are also unknown. They could be the nicest dogs in the world that never had the chance to prove it. But as far as consistent breeding and proven competitors, the pedigree doesn't show anything overly impressive.

Pup looks good though, still could be a big runner. Who knows. Horseback her and let her run as big as she'll go as long as you can keep a handle on her.

Do you have a pedigree on the female? I hate that picture of her. Looks like she has some bizarre spinal curvature until I look close enough to see the patch! I've got a dog like that and it drives me nuts.

What would you define as big running? What traits would you want beside the willingness to run? Grayhounds run, they do not make good bird dogs.

She is best dog I have had. Don't like too many points champion in nstra. Run with my pointers and digs like a beagle. Retrieves better than my labs. Don't know anything else she could do better and I am pretty picky

Good showing for a youngster. Also goes to show that you can't tell everything from an AKC pedigree. :) Are you aware that if you go ahead and get her cross registered with UKC that they will award a Championship of record on the dog's official pedigree?

Much better view! :)

Within the last year, the United Kennel Club assumed the administrative position for NSTRA and will put the CH title on their pedigrees for dogs who earn it in NSTRA. Previously, only NSTRA recognized the title.

From her NSTRA record, I would say she is bred Crosswind's Truckin' Fritz on the bottom. That puts Dixieland's Rusty in the pedigree.

If you look her up in NSTRA, it lists her parents. Her mother is Crosswind's Truckin Sage. That would put her as a Fritz daughter, or granddaughter at the least.
