High Standard dog food

Post by pumatom » Fri Oct 26, 2012 8:16 am

They sell this food at Sportsman whse., and supermarkets says it contains 28% protien and 18% fat.
Anyone using this feed, or have any opinion of it.
Thanks ahead, Tom.

Looking at the manufactures web site they make two different formulas of the 26/18. Premium and Select. I like the Select better. They also make a Performance 30/20 food. http://www.hi-standarddogfood.com/index1.htm

Yeah your right, its 26/18 protein and fat.
Its higher in protein and fat than the Science Diet I have been feeding.
And at a lower price.

I have been feeding it (the performance blend) almost a year and I like it.
Tight stools. And not a lot of it.

I had the worst results with this food that I have ever had with a dog food.
Like Christmas and the flu, sometimes more than once per year is too much.

About the only way your gonna find out is to try a bag. Some dogs do well on foods other dogs don't. Only problem I'd have is where can you get it other than Sportsmans Whse? Be kind tuff to run out away from home and have to do a food swap for whatever you could get.
I pity the man that has never been loved by a dog!
