Post by C.painter » Tue Nov 06, 2012 6:50 pm

Ellie is 9 months old and this past weekend we wounded a goose so I went and got Ellie out of the truck...wasn't sure how she would act since this was her first exposure to a live goose.... Video says it all :-)

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

You know, Ive been advised not to hunt my britt on geese... but my buddies (and obviously yours) seem to handle them fine. I cant wait to hunt my britt on waterfowl and the occosional sky carp. My britt's parents were both BIG dogs and I got an aggressive, high octane male... so I hope my Britt will be fine on 'em. Anyone else have lots of experience on geese with Britt's? A little insight would be nice.

Are you going to test/trail your pup?

gotta love it when they go from fun loving pup to wild eyed drooling maniac in the field! She almost looks like someone told her she couldn't. That's pretty cool

You know I had thought about doing the E.B.(Epaqneul Bretons) trialing stuff maybe next spring just for fun. She comes from great lines so I might. Will see.

I am just happy she has done so well for me this fall as I knew it was the learning year. I can't WAIT to see what the next few years will bring :-)

John just got back from France and one of his dogs did really well in trials, details are on his web page. Great line of dogs.

Congrats! I love that color and she's a sharp looking girl with a little fire in her. Worth the wait.
