Any ideas for a CALL NAME for a new pup?

Post by Sprigomatic » Mon Dec 24, 2012 8:30 pm

Hey folks! New to the forum. Looking forward to meeting/talking with y'all. I was wondering if you folks wouldn't mind giving me some name ideas for a pup. She has a registered name, but I don't want any of that name as her call name.

It appears that I am terrible at naming female dogs. I've had two male Black Labs (Guapo and Enzo) before my current female Black Lab. She is 15 weeks old and I still haven't come up with anything. I'm stumped! She's pretty energetic (as all Labs are), loves to play fetch, and she's a HOSS! She's very tall and weighs 34 pounds.

She does something fairly funny when she retrieves... She'll get about 6 feet from the bumper and start to hop like a rabbit towards the bumper.

If you folks could help me with this dilemma, I'd sure appreciate it!

Thanks!

Google Greek goddesses and see if something jumps out at you.

What about Maysha or Nissa (pronounced Nee-suh)? Cinna (pronounced Sin-nah) or Hemi, because she's so spunky. My Pointer's named Moxy and you can use that if you like. Mox's name fits her to a T, easy to use in the field and unique so the dog catches it every time.

Stoneface,

I really appreciate the input. Those names are very interesting! I appreciate you offering up Moxy as a potential name. As a matter of fact, I'm actually considering it. Thanks!
