I inherated a AL Biesen ithaca shotgun today what is it

Dont know anything about it but it says Alyin Biesen gun smith stocks and blueing la crosse wisconsin unde r the for arm i cant upload pics but i could text them or email them if any one could help me out

Thanks sharon i saw the web site. But was wondering if anyone knew any more aboit it. I cant find any identifieing marks any where it just say ithaca hammerless.

Did you take the gun apart? Sometimes serial numbers are stamped into the bottom of the barrels, receive, and for grip. At least mine is. You could lookup the serial number and get a better idea about this gun.

I know AL Biesen started out in Wisconsin but I have never seen one where it was hand etched into the barrel of a shotgun. But on the side of the stock it does look like some of his work. This had to be done in the late forties. Roger Biesen lives in Spokane should be able to help you. Al is still alive but no longer does any stock work. He is in his nineties. One of the above posts gave you the web address and phone number of his shop on W. Sinto street in Spokane. Roger and Al and his grand daughter work out of Al's basement.

Interesting...not a Crass, does not look like a Flues, not a NID.... maybe a Nitro or Western Long Range.
If original, Biesen's personal scattergun, perhaps.
