Where do you Find pic Of Older dogs?

Post by Richard *UT* » Mon Aug 28, 2006 11:13 pm

I was looking for the website where you can find pics like this?
Image

The think I saw a website posted by Wagon Master that had pics of some of the old Foundation Dogs.
Thanks

I don't have a website. I did have a bunch of old pics posted on the old album, but they are gone. Give me a little time to round them up and I will put them on the new album and let you know. Any particular dog(s)?

Did you find em all on that site? The list of HoF dogs on their site only has about a third as many pictures as their are dogs. If you are missing something let me know, I will see if I have it.

Yes, I was hoping richard would tell me which ones he wants that are missing, so I don't have to spend the time to figure it out and maybe get it wrong.

John, I was referring to Arlene Walker, keeper of that website. I know she is looking, for missing photos. Arlene has done a great job on that site. What a piece of reference material. “pear”

I think the best study of the "older important dogs" is in the GSPCA Yearbooks. Can be bought cheap thru the org. We have a bunch of them and they are great, including pedigrees on all dogs. I do not know about a pic of Norman, prob in the old NSTRA books. I saw him run alot, and ran against him and Fancy. Fancy was the dog! Was not much of a fan of Norman.

Brenda, Why were you not a fan of Gerneral Norman? I don't want to stir up trouble but was it a problem with the Handler or the Dog. One more question, What does Snip mean?

I had forgotten about that site, gsp photos. Arlene certainly does a lot for the breed, along with her GSP Chronicles each month.

Man, that FC TrueBlu's Hud's Kickin Up Dust is a great lookin' dog!! Sorry, had to say that about him.

Blake,

Did you make that planned breeding of Hud's mama?

TrueBlu Shorthairs

Hey Ken, how ya' doin'????

I looked all over the country, talked to far too many people about specifics on about five different stud dogs that I knew, had seen run, knew the owners, etc. and finally, after about a 6 month search decided to breed her to my own dog, TrueBlu's Jedi Master. Yoda is a nice big Shooting Dog with tons of style. He is just over two and will be run this year in broke stakes, Shooting Dog and All Age. Yoda is one heck of a birddog but has proven to be as biddable as any dog I've bred. Since he is nicely linebred Greif he lines up well as an outcross to Callie, FC Slick's Cajun Desire, a Moesgaard female out of NFC Heide's Mighty City Slicker, producer of FC TrueBlu's Hud's Kickin Up Dust. As you know, I have some nearly overly tight criteria, conformation, style, stamina, speed, gait, trainability, BIRDDOG, and temperament. I couldn't find all of that in the dogs I considered, 'cept for Yoda. Callie is due around Sept. 5. Looking forward to these pups!! Been pouring new slabs and buying kennels getting ready. Should be fun. With pups coming, nationals in just over a month, and a few trials prior to, it's kind of busy in north Texas for us. W road dogs at 10 pm or 4am each day, so with work, kids, and dogs, we aren't getting much sleep.

TrueBlu
I didn't make the connection between you and Hud until now. I sure have been a fan of him. Emailed Rodger a while back and was interested in a pup.
He sure is a nice dog.

TrueBlu Shorthairs

Thanks Steve!!! Hud is just one heck of a nice dog. He's a TRUE All Age dog off horse, of course RU at the GSPCA AA last year, he's an excellent wild bird foot dog, perfect house pet, and Rodger won an Amateur Walking Gun Dog stake with him last year. Hud's got it all figured out and does it all well. He's like his mama, FC Slick's Cajun Desire, Callie. Wants to please in every way. 'Cept late at night when she wants out, she'll run to the cow pasture for twenty minutes to eat cow you know what. Another out of control trial dog!!

Rodger just bred him to a dog that is Clown and Rusty, owned by Drew Martin. Should make some nice pups. We will be breeding him to one of my Greif females in the next year or so also.

Thanks for the complement on old Hud!!

You can find pics of three littermates; JJ's Jigger, Cocoa's Cupcake and Bushwacker Babe, here http://khawkgsp.com/

I have never seen a pic of Jig's White Smoke and have asked around several times.

Take a pic of Honky Tonk Attitude, crop the tail off halfway, and you've got Smoke.

I believe that image is of Hud. The caption further down the web site is..."Hud wins 2006 NGSPA Quail Championship in Ardmore, Ok" The site is www.lsgspc.org/Hud.html

That is from sweetsonggsp.tripod.com/page5.html That search is reading captions from images attached to pedigrees. They come up because Jigs is in the pedigree...not the actual image. I tried the same search:)
