Sportdog 2525 parts

Post by AmericanBrittGuy » Tue Jan 22, 2013 5:05 pm

I have worked my way up the sportdog line of ecollars as my training needs got more complex and #of dogs increased. The transmitter unit I have been using is a SD2525. One of my kids broke off the antenna...I mean that the wire is hanging out of the top of the unit. It appears as though the fitting that the antenna screws into backed itself out. Who knows. Anyway, I need the fitting itself. Is there a way to get it? I'd rather not send the whole thing back to Sportdog if I don't have to do that...

Ok guys, after a couple of email exchanges, SD knows what I am talking about. And, get this, they are sending me a NEW unit! I only have to ship the old one back. SD customer service worked to understand my situation and went the extra mile!

They have always been really good to me and with me but not many people on here like them for some reason.

I have a friend who says that SD has good customer service because they need it. Trainer friend says he's seen random correction. I use mine EVERY day and have had no issues. SD and GDS have been good to me.

I've had mine SD 2500 for years and never had an issue. I have 4 collars for it and routinely operate 3 collars during training and hunting and change the settings quite a bit as well. I have one dog that is tough as nails and needs the highest correction setting and the 2 females need very little stimulation so depending on which dogs I will be hunting with or training and what I am doing I change and have never had an issue with collar receivers and transmitter syncing up.
