Wormer
Wormer
I am looking at Safegaurd or Panacur Worming Paste. I was told it was the samething. Will this get whips, rounds, hooks, and tapes? Also I want to figure out how much paste to give each of my dogs per 10lbs of body weight someone please chime in.

Re: Wormer
Fenbendazole, the active ingredient in those products, does not get taenia (flea) tapeworms and has to be given for three days to get whipworms. The paste has to be given in a fairly high quantity to be effective. I use the liquid labled for goats. Off lable dosages for canine use of livestock products can be found at www.terrierman.com.

Thanks for the link to the website however I see plenty about vaccines and antibiotics but nothing about worming dosages can you tell me exactly where to find it?

I use this.....1ml/4lbs
I use to use the paste at 1/2 tube/50lbs but the liquid is much cheaper.

We went to the local feed store and got the "barnyard version" which is exactly the same composition as the "canine version", but is usually cheaper. The dosages are based on weight, so either version works.
FWIW,
