The Old Boy Turned 12 Yesterday

My old dog Chubbs turned 12 yesterday. Doesn't seem that long ago that I was taking him home from the breeder as an 8 week old pup. He has been my hunting buddy and my go to guide dog for years. I could not even begin to count the number of birds that were shot over his points. He can't get after it like he used to, but still gets around pretty decent. Chubbs sleeps in the house and rides in the truck with me. He has seen 20-30 dogs come and go from my kennels since I have had him, and he knows he is the top dog. He has been my once in a lifetime dog, and I could not be happier with him.
Here are a couple recent pics. One of him nailing a rooster on our trip back to Kansas last month, and the second is of him doing his second favorite thing next to chasing birds: eating his birthday cake (biscuits and suasage gravy) last night.
