I have tried to search youtube for whoa barrel videos with no luck. Does anyone know where I could find a video on it? thanks

There is probably a reason you can't find it and I hope you just find someone to show you......

I believe George Hickox goes over it in his videos. Ferel Miller very briefly touches on it in his video. This is the only video I've found online dealing with a barrel (member of this board posted it), but it doesn't give a whole lot to go on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyD8T-JZsIE.

Sherry Ebert, probably has the best video of how to use the barrel.

I don't use the whoa barrel but I did see Sherry Ebert's video and far and away the best instruction on it I've seen. If I was going to change, I wouldn't do it without that video.

I've had the Hickox video and Sherry Ebert's. I think both video's did a good job explaining the whoa barrel but Ebert's video was the better of the two for that segment. As a note, I have never used a whoa barrel. I use a whoa post but have watched several training videos and read many books because it suits my interests. Good luck.

John Hann with Perfection Kennels has a great video that covers whoa training without a barrel. I have used the method twice andits much quicker than a barrel for sure ! The method also teaches the dog to heel while you're at it!! It is fast and easy !!
