GDF Shirts

If there were a headshot on the back of a shirt along with the text gun dog forum, would the breed of dog determine whether or not you would buy one?

No, I'd buy a GDF shirt anyway.

I put that photo in there because it's the most appealing one I have left. It wouldn't matter the breed to me.

OOP's I lied. Other than this I have a Brittany that looks pretty good.
you pointer guys are all the same....hehehe ya'll are just fighting tooth and nail to get some attention. must be hard with all these other more superior breeds (gsp/weim) passing you bye with field performance levels. you get a little slack though. you must be half alright cause you got a brit too. :D

Grant just an idea but why dont you do shooting shirts like these on cabela's http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... hasJS=true and have gundogforum.com stitched down 1 arm and the logo on the pocket. I think they would get around because I always see people wearing them at tests, trials, training days, hunting, even to game dinners.
Now that's a good idea!!

I hear you Don. Those colors would only be 1/2 price though, right? You know, Don, if you tried on a silver or silver/grey you may just NEVER want to take it off though. Grey may just be the most versatile color.....hehe

I think it would be cool to have the GDF t-shirt be a take off / something like that old picture of the english bulldog and a grundle of others sitting around smoking cigars playing cards.

Something like a circle of dogs on point / flushing a smattering of birds. With a saying like "Git'r dun with GDF"

Of course it would have to have a brittany in there the rest of you all can duke it out.

I do like the idea of the nicer shirts!

Grant, I think a short haired breed of pointing dog would be good. EP or GSP. Thats my favorite.---------------SONNY

Talking about t-shirts... I sell some at my homepage.

My last one I did with inspiration from Ayres on this forum. It is a hunting green long sleave sweater with text in gold "Life is too short to hunt with an ugly dog"

It is beautiful

Unfortunately the website is in swedish, but please have a look, it is the first sweater you see, click for larger. Or have a look at "motiv" to see the different breeds I've got. If there is interest I could do the page in english... and a sweather for men :?:

I can do some drawings of dogs if that would help. I will scan a couple and see what you think. All the dogs I have done are from pics that members have posted. So some permission would have to be asked.

Richard might have a good idea. I'd add that maybe it should include a likeness of Pointers, Setters, GSP and a Britt. Pretty much everything falls into those likeness's and they would be generic. I don't think it would cost anymore to set up a logo with four liknesses than one. Certainly when it's done, doesn't cost anymore to print.

I think the headshot needs to be either a EP or GSP. And mabye you could just use a silhouette of a EP or GSP head or body.

How about putting a dog of each breed on the shirt and say "we are bird hutners, we love the dogs" (that phrase is trademarked by the way) or somethgin liek that.

Hi Grant,

How are the t-shirts coming along? I like the logo you have on the Gun Dog Forum. Any thought of putting something on a sweatshirt?

I voted that I wouldn't get one without my dog breed on it but...I like the art you posted, I'd get one of those.
I'm also betting that "if you make it they will buy it".
This being such a cool site, I think most of us would buy whatever was available to show our allegiance (sp).

how about a shadowy kind of look with multiple dogs so none are highlited ? or 3 or 4 different gamebirds flushing that would eliminate the dog problem alltogether

Yep.

Something like this but more breeds:

http://www.labradorstuff.com/du-rascals-1.jpg

Maybe 12 breeds, small images, encircled in a clock type setting with clock hands and the phrase beneath or on the back of the shirt, "GunDogForum.com: 24/7-365"

If it was possible to give an option out of a few of the more popular dogs I think that would be great. I understand that would cost more but I would be willing to pay more for it if it had an English Setter on it (just my own personal bias).
