I got roped into a hunt with my SIL and his dad. Since Im the one with the bird dogs I got invited. As soon as I know for sure where I will ask some advice.SDGORD

No worries. I like GSPs too. I run and train with them all the time. As the ol' saying goes... they honor really well.

That was one of the first times I've ever seen a dog point. I watched a video that did the wing on a string thing. I dropped one in the backyard and she just froze! I was hooked from that point.

I didn't think the ones with long tails pointed naturally. Don't you have to hoist them up into a tree or stick them on a barrel or something?

Here is my 3 month old long tailed pup pointing. Just took him off the barrel. I added a couple of my buddies GSP with him showing him how to do it.
