Heart guard plus OTC
Heart guard plus OTC
I have been looking on line and see you can buy this stuff without a script. My vet is charging 50 bucks 6 months for our ankle bitter 12 lbs. I have my EP on Ivermec. My wife want to keep him on heart guard. Has any body bought from these web sites? Any feed back would be helpful. Thanks

I have heard about this place for years. I don't know anyone that has used it.

Iverhart Plus is half that price normally.

I could be wrong, as this may only be true in Canada, but it's my understanding that you still need a prescription for the drug and a blood test. Some vets will give a prescription and some won't .

We had to get a prescription but our vet was ok with using 1-800-petmeds. Do it during the cool months to minimize degradation in the mail.

Sorry: I live in Arizona. Medicines in the mailbox at 110 F do not do well.
There are storage requiement for them all and I have been told that Heartguard Plus will not warantee their product because of it. The Iverheart may not be in the same group.

Heartgard is a soft chew, Iverhart is a tablet.BigTub wrote:Sorry: I live in Arizona. Medicines in the mailbox at 110 F do not do well.

Ivomec is not a problem except for light. That is what breaks it down. We always shipped all animal health products in an insulated container overnight if there was a concern about heat. But you can keep the Ivomec in your cupboard and it isn't in the refrigerated area in the stores. But I understand it is better to be safe than sorry.
