What's it mean?
What's it mean when your wife cries and calls you a mean cold hearted person...on the drive home from dropping your dog off at the trainer for a month or two?

It means she doesn't understand how much fun the dog is about to have, it also means she doesn't get to go along next time.roaniecowpony wrote:What's it mean when your wife cries and calls you a mean cold hearted person...on the drive home from dropping your dog off at the trainer for a month or two?

It means your wife loves your dog more than you

Means it's time to suggest getting a pup, just to ease her pain.

It means that you are not her favorite person. She doesn't realize that the dog will love working.

Re: What's it mean?
She needs a foster pup to get her through the transition....one you can get trained up to go to a forever home. That should keep her plenty busy so she isn't missing the family dog so much.
p.s. It's way better to have this problem than to have a partner that doesn't like or is indifferent to your dogs!

It means you're case hardened and she's apprehensive.

I'll bet it's tough around the house when the children go off to college!

The dogs are the kids. This is college we're talking about. From what people with kids tell us, professionally trained dogs are a bargain.
Re: What's it mean?
It means you should break the dog yourself.
On a side note, do you know how to tell you who loves you more, your dog or your wife?
Lock 'em both in the trunk of your car for an hour and see which one is happy to see you when you come back.

Re: What's it mean?
K here is the new game plan. Tell your wife you are taking the dog to the park, then come home a few hours later, tell her the dog ran away and you cannot find it. ( you must be very emotional to sell this). Then after days of fruitless searching, she finally comes to the conclusion that the dog is lost forever. Then in a few months you go pick up the dog, come home and tell her you found it walking down the street, leaving her none the wiser.
